Ljubljana and me

Glimpses, photos & experiences of a foreigner living in Slovenia, Ljubljana

A green walk in the heart of Ljubljana

One of those days, when all I wished for is to enjoy the warmth of the sun, relaxing in Kongresni Trg ,with my dogP1070033aaa then meeting up with a friend for a walk in Tivoli Park, that is situated about 5 minutes walk distance away from  Prešernov trgP1060959ssss,a walk on Čopova ulica – Čop street,-the fashionable street from the old city centerP1060964aaa, passing by the Orthodox ChurchP1070019aaa, we reached the heart of Ljubljana,Tivoli Park. At the entrance,we got ” the greetings” from a beautiful photo exhibition,-Picture SloveniaP1060967aaa P1060990aaa that is leading the way till Tivoli ManorP1060992aaa,which holds The International Center of Graphic Arts and a cute terrace where we enjoyed a pivo -beerP1070008aaa(Falling Angel’s choice – made near Celje) and the beautiful sight that reached till Ljubljana CastleP1070007aaa.

What I loved at the Tivoli Manor, were the dogs, that guard the steps up to the manor, that have behind a sad story, the creator of them,Anton Dominik von Fernkorn, took his life, after realizing he forgot to add tongues to his dogs. Nevertheless, they are a beautiful representation of the dog. Respect.P1060997aaa.

The entire nature of the park it’s about to explode in the symphony of springP1060980aaa, all I  wish is to take a sit P1060999aaaand watch P1060975aaa….

On a funny note,my dog- Tasha, discovered the doggy toiletP1060978aaa in the park , that is even for boy/girl 😉
