Emona – glimpses of history

P1060854aaaGlimpses of the Roman influence and architecture can be seen all over the city , it is impossible not to see and feel it.  You can take a break from reality and enter through Emona’s southern wall, throw the Pyramid, created specially for the restoration of the wall,in 1938 by Joze Plečnik P1060842aaa , and walk along the Roman wall with ur dog P1060858aaa.

Well preserved areas of Emona will be standing next to youP1060848aaaP1060851aaaP1060852aaa and the more you go throw history and city, the more you discover P1060836aaa ,a house build in the 1 th century that was build and rebuild till it became,in the 4 th century,  Christian church . Also you discover the remains of the Roman sewer  P1060840aaa.

In Kongresni Trg, which is situated just before the northern wall,  ,just few steps down, you’ll find the remains of the northern gateP1060834aaa,which is announced to be under renovation, so you go back through

the southern wall, through another Roman gateway P1060855aaa
