Glimpses, photos & experiences of a foreigner living in Slovenia, Ljubljana
One of those days, when all I wished for is to enjoy the warmth of the sun, relaxing in Kongresni Trg ,with my dog then meeting up with a friend for a walk in Tivoli Park, that is situated about 5 minutes walk distance away from Prešernov trg,a walk on Čopova ulica – Čop street,-the fashionable street from the old city center, passing by the Orthodox Church, we reached the heart of Ljubljana,Tivoli Park. At the entrance,we got ” the greetings” from a beautiful photo exhibition,-Picture Slovenia that is leading the way till Tivoli Manor, which holds The International Center of Graphic Arts and a cute terrace where we enjoyed a pivo -beer(Falling Angel’s choice – made near Celje) and the beautiful sight that reached till Ljubljana Castle.
What I loved at the Tivoli Manor, were the dogs, that guard the steps up to the manor, that have behind a sad story, the creator of them,Anton Dominik von Fernkorn, took his life, after realizing he forgot to add tongues to his dogs. Nevertheless, they are a beautiful representation of the dog. Respect..
