Walk For The Animals Ljubljana 2013

It all started when I saw some news posted by my Swedish friends on facebook. They’ve organised last year a Walk For The Strays in Romania, all over Sweden, in 65 town and more then 822 people and 532 dogs and 3 horses  joined The Walk. Can you imagine that much solidarity from people?! Can you imagine all the good energy and love they send to those that they were thinking of ?!

Then I thought, but this is how my life has been since I am living in Slovenia. Half of my heart and soul is besides homeless animals and the animal rescuers friends that I got. I have lived there, done that, know what it means and most of all I know how important support is. Solidarity.  Sometimes it makes all the difference to save a life. Having all that in my mind, I asked them more details and I found out they are doing this year – 2013 a Challenge. They are challenging  the entire world for The Walk For The Strays 2013! -https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=2-RFj_EVXjw#at=13

Entire world can join in. And I mean every country, town and village. Planned as a nice and friendly walk, on the day of 18 August at 12:00.  I was thrilled!:)

We agreed that I organize in Ljubljana The Walk For Animals. So now I am inviting everyone that lives in Slovenia, Ljubljana to join us on 18 of August 2013, at 12:00 in Kongresni trg, Everyone  is invited for the Walk for The Animals.

We want to show our support for the animals that are in need, fighting to survive in countries that do not protect them ( like Romania, Serbia, Bosnia ,Croatia, Turkey, Ukraine,Greece e.t.c.), our support for the shelters that host animals in need, our support for animal rescuers and foster families, our support and gratitude for those that adopt a stray or animal from shelter. In Slovenia animal shelters need help with adoptions and fosters, and many people are still buying animals from the inhumane puppy mills and shops.

The walk came to life first time last year, in Sweden by the organisation Föreningen DogRescue https://www.facebook.com/DogRescueSE, this year more countries( Germany,Holland etc) will join in at the same date and same hour. We are also inviting people from entire Slovenia to organize The Walk in their cities or villages on 18 of august,at 12:00.

Planned as a nice and friendly walk of animal lovers, from Kongresni Trg till Tivoli Park,at 12,we invite everyone 🙂 . Bring your friends, your four legs friends and let’s stand by what we believe in!   https://www.facebook.com/events/208599995930749/
