Jota, a slovenian hotpot meal

What about some cooked meal, hotpot dish? Good to warm you in winter time and refreshing during summer time. Slovenia has it . Is called Jota. A hotpot –enolončnica , that combines on the same plate sauerkraut, beans and potatoes with smoked bacon or ham – slanina ,having also a refreshing taste due to the sauerkraut or even zelna voda – the water from the pickled cabbage , that you can specially buy from the Central Market in Ljubljana, from the local farmers P1070409aaa.

The beans, eventually garlic and onion, potatoes, tomatoes ,smoked pork products-ham,bacon  and the sauerkraut, all are on offer and you can get them from the central market –Osrednja ljubljanska tržnica  P1070410aaa P1070406aaa P1070413aaaOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAso you can prepare your own Jota.

Aside with home made bread and feferoni- chilli ( I added this from the Romanian cooking ) I enjoyed today my JotaP1070437aaa
